Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has some wonderful news to share; she is expecting her second child with husband Anand Ahuja. The couple, who are already proud parents to three-year-old son Vayu, will soon welcome another little bundle of joy into their lives.
Sonam made the announcement on Instagram with a series of stunning pictures that revealed her baby bump. Keeping it short and sweet, she simply wrote, “Mother.”

For the announcement, Sonam looked every bit the style icon fans adore. She chose a hot-pink pure wool suit with oversized padded shoulders and a gently curved silhouette, a clear nod to the late Princess Diana.
In her Instagram story, Sonam confirmed that she is due in Spring 2026. The news comes after months of speculation with several media reports and reddit forums hinting that the actress was expecting her second child.
Sonam and Anand tied the knot on May 8, 2018. They have since then shared a loving journey together. Their first child, son Vayu, was born on August 20, 2022. And, the couple had opened their hearts to fans while announcing his arrival:
“On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and open hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends family who have supported us on this journey. It’s only the beginning. But we know our lives are forever changed.”
The announcement comes as Sonam continues to balance her personal life with her professional commitments.
Popular for her critically acclaimed performances in films like ‘Neerja,’ ‘Raanjhanaa,’ ‘Veere Di Wedding,’ ‘Delhi 6,’ Sonam took a brief break from acting after Vayu’s birth. She said she wanted to focus on family life. Her last big screen appearance was in the 2023 crime thriller ‘Blind’ directed by Shome Makhija, where she starred alongside Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey.
